More than just labels

We have a new name, a new location but we are proudly still the same people.

Since taking over Avonlea Labels in 2005, our family has owned and operated the business with a strong focus on customer service and continually expanding the business as new technology becomes available. We have grown to offer so much more than just labels, so have decided to rebrand to Luminar and move to our modern, expansive new premises. Luminar is a name that reflects our passionate and progressive thinking as we illuminate the way forward in the packaging and label industries.

Looking back

Avonlea Labels was originally named after the street that the first print press operated from in Carlingford, Sydney. Since then Avonlea has moved 5 times and carried the name across to its new locations. We have not forgotten our heritage, while embracing our vision as innovators in our industry with our new name Luminar.

Digital disruptors in flexible packaging and labels

Luminar have been a digital labels house for over a decade and an Indigo house for 6 years and now we are setting new standards in digital print with our new HP Indigo 20,000, which allows us to offer a wider range of packaging options, such as pouches, coffee bags, shrink sleeve, rewind and so much more. The market has changed, requiring shorter run lengths, and higher SKUs, with quick turnaround; something we have been watching closely on our self-adhesive labels line. Now we have the opportunity of filling that gap for flexible packaging.

Our move to Riverstone, in Sydney’s North West, reflects our ongoing commitment to growing our facilities and capabilities to offer our clients the latest, cutting edge advancements in flexible packaging and label printing.

Our new premise is 4 times larger than the previous place with the aim of continuing to expand our services and product offerings in the future.

Luminar looks forward to continuing to provide quality printing and reliable service to always live up to client and industry expectations. We are proud to be the digital disruptors in flexible packaging and labels.
